Dr. Umear Ahmad

The lead doctor at Newcastle Health is Umear Ahmad, a General Practitioner since 2013, Dr. Ahmad graduated form Newcastle University in 2007. After undertaking his junior doctor training in Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals trust, he undertook a masters degree before embarking on GP training in the north east.
Dr. Ahmad is what is considered a portfolio GP with several areas of specialist interest. Aside from everyday general practice, he is trained in minor surgery which involves the excision of lumps and bumps such as cysts and lipomas under local anaesthetic. He also has a particular interest in hair loss and undertakes hair restoration procedures in a clinic in Yorkshire and London. Through Newcastle health Dr. Ahmad undertakes occupational medicals including visa medicals, taxi medicals and other work based assessments.
Dr. Ahmad also has several medical related non clinical roles including being a medico legal report writer for a charity called Freedom From Torture and is an interviewer for those applying to study medicine at Newcastle University.
